The new FI5 model mounts an air-cooled 4-stroke 149cc SOHC, 2-valve, single-cylinder fuel-injected “BLUE CORE” engine, and engine’s settings were optimized to further polish the feeling of superior acceleration from stops and exhilarating feeling when overtaking.
It provides an excellent shock-absorbing performance and a good feeling of stability during braking. The rear suspension is a lightweight Monocross suspension unit that contributes to mass centralization and provides 120mm of wheel travel, which is tuned for good balance between the spring rate and damping force
Front Disc with Bosch Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) helps in achieving improved braking performance by providing better stability and control at all speeds providing safety for the rider. Rear Disc brake augments more quality to the long legacy of FZ braking system.
The new LED headlight provides excellent visibility over a wide range with very little unevenness. It uses a reflector with ideal light projection, and separate bulbs for high and low beam.

The LCD instrument gauge, has a black background and white lettering. There is a digital speedometer in the center with a bar-style tachometer above, and a fuel gauge is located in the bottom left corner. These three are constantly displayed, while the odometer, Trip 1, Trip 2, F Trip, clock and others can be selected for display. There is also an ECO indicator to aid with more fuel-efficient riding.
