Overview

The CFAO Mobility Service Management Trainee Program is designed to foster career development within the automotive industry for ambitious management graduates. This exceptional opportunity allows trainees to acquire the knowledge and hands-on experience essential for advancing into management roles, guided by seasoned professionals. The program offers a comprehensive training curriculum, encompassing key areas such as Customer Care Supervisory Skills, Workshop Business Management, Business and Technical Reporting, Human Resource Management, Vehicle Product Knowledge, Budgeting and Forecasting, as well as Service and Body Repair Processes.

Skill Development

The trainee experience will encompass a wide range of segments, products, and channels through which CFAO Mobility Kenya engages with customers, as well as various facets of the automotive business. Over the course of the program, trainees will participate in two years of immersive classroom sessions, case studies, and specialized technical training, all tailored to specific business streams. Additionally, there will be two major evaluation sessions held annually to assess each trainee’s progress and development within the management-training program.

Through the Skill Upgrade Program, trainees will:

  • Receive comprehensive training and gain hands-on experience across multiple areas, including Service Reception, Technical Support, Technical Warranty, Technical Training, Workshop Operations, Parts Department, Credit Control, and Procurement.
  • Gain insight into various staff functions, encompassing operations, management perspectives, and the company policies and practices influencing each aspect of the business.
  • Set and work towards performance goals and objectives (SMART) established by senior management upon acceptance of the position.
  • Regularly report on the progress of these goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with management to monitor performance on key KPIs.
  • Observe experienced professionals to learn the methods, procedures, and standards necessary to perform departmental duties.
  • Cross-train in related departments to enhance the potential for future transfers and create broader opportunities for career advancement.
  • Provide support across departments, including tasks such as reporting, data entry, presentation creation, and operational planning for customer service.

Management Trainee Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
  • KCSE Mean Grade minimum B+
  • Age – 30 years and below
  • A specialization in Automotive studies is considered an advantage.
  • A strong drive for career advancement and continuous learning.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of staff across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
